FIELD NOTE 02 · 3 min read

The clue might be in the gesture.

Read the scene, identify the objects and separate a tap from a drag before trying another move.

Read the instruction first

Restate the requested result in a few words. Are you finding clues, changing an appearance, moving an object or helping a character finish an activity? The goal tells you which changes to watch for.

These are general observation tips. A specific action order belongs on the matching walkthrough page. A gesture that works in one scene is not a rule for every level.

Trace the movement

A tap and a drag can begin on the same object and produce different results. In the video, notice whether the pointer stays in place, moves an item or reveals something behind it.

Pay attention to where a drag ends. Reproduce the shown action, then wait for the animation or progress change. Trying several gestures at once makes it harder to tell which one worked.

Look again after a successful action

An object may become available only after another prop moves. Scan the changed area before returning to your plan, especially in scenes with overlapping items or furniture.

The opening Story 1 wardrobe guide identifies clothing, shoes and a drink as separate interactions around the character. Those objects belong to that scene; the next puzzle may use a different set of clues.

Take one small piece of help

After several attempts, look at the current screen. What changed? Is the character still in the same place? Does a progress indicator suggest anything new?

Reveal one written step or watch the next action. A small piece of help preserves more of the discovery and makes it easier to understand why that movement worked.

Use a video without spoiling everything

These field notes explain how to use the guides and observe a puzzle. Level-specific instructions remain on the matching walkthrough page with its source link.
